Not bad for this genre. It's a very spartan composition. I like the closest rock formation as an element. My biggest concern is the really bright, intense orange-yellow right at the edge of the frame...that's pulling my eye a lot. I fell like this shot could possibly benefit from some more work on the left hand side area; maybe some very careful, tedious software effort could make this even better. Thre are a lot of low tonal values that I think need to be opened up a bit, and also made more contrasty, which can be tough, working down in that low, semi-shadowy area on the left side of the histogram. I think the opposite sides, the far jetty and the left-side finger jetty, paired against the rocks on the right is interesting, and I like the bouys out in the bay. I think the sky needs to be burned down a bit on the right though. Great aspect ratio for this image I think! Perfect frame proportions! And overall, pretty skillful camera technique.

I'll build a couple of channel masks and see if I can manipulate the left side a bit. the orange is easy enough to tone down and it is brighter than it would be if I was making a print as the internet has a way of buffering colors down. Good note, thanks.
