My husband and I recently took a trip to Barcelona, Spain. The weather was beautiful and the city is just lovely. I really enjoyed taking photos there. Let me know what you think of these shots.

1. This photo was taken by the Olympic Stadium. It was tough to get it centered since lots of people kept getting in my way.

2. This view is from the castle hill. Was hoping for some clouds for texture, but the whole trip was bright, blue skies...can't complain.

3. Palm trees in Joan Miro Park.

4. I think this is the main church in the middle of downtown Barcelona.

5. My favorite shot!

6. This is a bench in Parc Guell. A perfect example of Gaudi architecture.

C&C per request:

1) A potentially very interesting location with its geometric shapes, but I'm not sure what you were trying to capture. This shot would benefit from moving the horizon up or down (depending on your intent) rather than having it in the center of the shot. I would like this shot as a study of the reflecting pool, cropped from the bottom so that you don't see the rocks on the bottom but instead see only the reflections on the surface, with the side walls leaving the frame at the lower corners rather than part way up the side.

2) Probably a memorable snapshot for you and possibly a nice comment on urban density, but nothing really stands out to me (and the tilt is distracting). Because of the scale and the colors involved, most of the buildings blend into a jumble. Is this image stitched together? I'm curious about the dark band just right of center...

3) Nice job looking down at the palm shadow rather than the typical looking-up shot. It does look like you were torn on whether the subject is the shadow on the ground or the parallel rows of trunks - the image is split (top/bottom) fairly evenly between the two. I would have suggested either cropping tighter on the shadow or taking a step to the left, so that you could center the walkway and have the trunks evenly on each side.

4&5) Not really my cup of tea, so I don't have useful C&C to offer.

6) My favorite of the bunch. I love the colors, the patterns, and the textures, and I really like the shallow DoF. A nicely abstract image - I don't think I would have recognized it as a bench if you hadn't mentioned it.

#2 is slanted wayyy down to the left. #4 and 5 are slanted as well. Nice shots overall tho. i Like #1 the best, would love to see more blue in the sky tho. Also on #2 there seems to be a horizontal shadow on the right side of the shot thats pretty distracting.
