I am going to bring my gears to the beach tomorrow. Do you have any tips for shooting beaches? How do I protect my gear from the sea/sand?

Wear pants with lots of pockets...you want to avoid setting anything on the ground...it WILL get full of sand if there is any wind. Think about how you are going to swap/manipulate accessories/lenses/etc without setting anything down. Minimize your camera's exposure to the elements, so don't be there very long.

If you are shooting portrait type work, (or anything up close) I found that a 4 stop ND filter and an external flash works well. If you have an assistant to hold a reflector, even better.

Polarizing filter. +1 or 2 EC (watch exposures)/spot meter, avoid mid day sunlight if possible, bring a flash. As for sand, just be mindful that it's there and take normal precautions. Rarely do I spend a day on the beach and end up sand free. Be very careful if changing lens on the beach.

Just taking nature shots around and maybe some picture of the family and lots of kids. Don't have a flash yet, so... yeah~ There is an indoor swimming pool around 25-50 metres away, so changing lens is not a problem, I just need to get to a dry place without sand.
