The way the sign is in the first one totally emphasizes the danger of swimming there. Like its some sort of "no man's land" for beach goers

Perhaps adjusting the white balance to be a little lower, or warmer, or however you wanna say it, would be nice. The bluish hue along with the cloudy sky and lack of sunbathers makes me think it was winter or something. A very slight reddish overtone may make the beach look a lot more warm. But then again, if you want the beach to be isolated and desolate, that may not be a desirable result.

Tell me if that doesn't make sense, though.
