I went to my uncle's hunting camp in Sandersville Georgia and came across a Kaolin mine. Apparently, this large hole in the ground with a now-exposed once-underground spring used to all be dense forest. Across from this site is also a plateau of dirt dug from this hole that used to be an open field. The layers in the wall of he hole show how the area has changed over the centuries and the color of the water is thanks to the raw Kaolin itself. It looks refreshing and tropical but this is actually a toxic wasteland.
It's hard to argue that this terrible destruction can't at least be made to look nice. Enjoy the shots.
