comments welcome, as always.

glad to see everyone seems to be doing well and shooting! :D

yeah so, real quick...
wanting to upgrade from my trusty D1x...i love it, but it lacks some sharpness. is a D90 the right direction? with grip.
$650 budget. :)

thanks!

Nice set! Wish you played more with the goggles.

Going from the d1x(professional setup and was pro when it first came out) to a d90 (upper end consumer) will feel weird. Being used to a pro body and "downgrading" may not be the best.

Sup dawg, how you been Sr. Bisquick?

that's a good point, and the focus of my decision...im just feeling like for my budget, the D90 might be the best answer. going with a D200 would be a smaller step forward, and STILL not a probody (though alloy).
A D2x, although still a pro body seems like older tech, and out of my budget. id love a d7000 but again....1200 for body stifles me.

i dont know what i would miss from the pro body...sync port, sure. but i have cactus triggers that will offer the solution to that...so i really dont know. the d90 sensor seems sweet, the lcd is redonk, commander mode, bracketing, top display, dual wheels...

i think i should be fine with a consumer body...add a grip and i get my port shots and battery life...

am i making sense here, or am i blinded my MPs and sensors?
im only going to be able to do this once for a few years. i was kinda ruling out the d200, but if that makes more sense, by all means id love to save a buck and get one. adorama has nikon refurbed d90s for 649/body. seems decent to me.

id love further thoughts on this, as taxes come in a week, and i have a wedding in april i will want the upgrade for, so any advice is appreesh'd.

whattup tyler! long time no talkies...how goes it?
