Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Hey there!

I've been shooting with a point and shoot for years now, but i purchased a Canon T3 in June and have taken thousands of pictures ever since. I've never really shown my photos to many people so I haven't received any criticism. :( Here's the link to my Flickr i just made today, I'm not sure if I can upload photos to this site itself. I mainly use a 50mm 1.8, but also use the kit lens and a 75-300mm 4-5.6 USM. I'm hoping to purchase a 17-40 f/4L on the boxing day sales this year.

Your feedback is greatly appreciated! :D (please be honest)
P.S. I put big watermarks because i was paranoid my photos would get stolen. (sorry if they bother you) :blushing:

You will find more feedback if you put your photos in the thread.
A majority of people fear links from new posters. Sorry!

Since you already know the watermark is silly, I'll pass on that bit.

The Landscape (please be sure to number your photo's next time), seems a bit off. I like it, don't get me wrong, but I'm not sure if the subject is portrayed properly. I believe a tighter crop may do the trick, though.

The Nutcracker- you would have done better with the either the entire doll in the frame or not cutting off his hands. Be sure to watch limbs! The background is lovely, but again, your focus is on the bottom of the frame as if you weren't planning the shot.

With the last one, I love the snow shovel-er in the background, and I feel as if I would like this photo if the red fire hydrant didn't have the red stick attached too. I may just be picky when sleep deprived. Though, more i look at it, the more I love the red color popping out of the snow.

#1 I like it... you got the tower and the bridge on the 1/3's lines... nicely! The contract between the bridge and the industrial looking building on the left is interesting. It does look like there may be a slight tilt to the photo, based on the buildings in the background.

#2 background is a bit busy, but nicely OOF. As Meek mentioned.. don't cut off body parts, at least not at the joints. You basically nailed that poor guy right in the groin! :)

#3.. needs brightening... looks underexposed. Nice contrast of colors... and a nice leading line, but it goes nowhere really... unless you are leading us the shoveler, who is really such a small part of the photo.

EDIT: yea.. drop the Watermark! :)
