Best lens for a convension

I'm going to Comic Con San Diego this year, and I would like to ask you guys, what you think a good lens would be for that.
Indoors, varied, mostly low lightning, lots of people. I'm thinking a nice wide angle zoom lens? Tokina 11-16 maybe?
I don't know what I'm gonna do about more remote subjects though... I guess I could carry two lenses.

Just wanna say, last time I went to Comic Con international, the lighting was not that low.
nor was the "lightning"
and I think a zoom lens would be better, but it depends on what you are going there to see.
some of the exhibitions (or whatever they are called ) are really packed you might be far from the front. but then when you go to the main room, you will need a wide angle.
I recommend two for sure.
what body are you using? and what is your budget? (or what is your current equipment?)

btw. I'm jealous. can't make it this year :|

I am always of fan of a 24-105 on a full frame sensor. It is my bread and butter lens for reportage. The 24 is nice and wide and you can shoot "head to toe" shots in close proximity. This is great for getting peoples outfits. The 105 is a great portrait lens from about 8-10' away. This is enough zoom to get great candids. Also the canon version of that lens has a pretty short focusing distance.

Ah yes, stupid typos when I don't concentrate
Not a full frame. I'm using a Nikon D7000 body. Right now I only have a kit 18-105mm lens and a 50mm 1.8 lens.

Yes at the panels you do usually sit/stand far from the stage. But otherwise you can get up close to everyone/everything. Which is how I like to shoot people and things. Really up close and personal So I guess I could pull out tele lens for panels, but keep a wide angle on the rest of the convention grounds?

Exactly the same, jealous because i can't go. Also i suggest the 24 lense because as the past has shown, you'll be happy when you got wider photos.
