Big Boat - Small Boat - Seattle Harbor

Not quite sure if this is a cityscape or just a general gallery shot so mods move it if necessary..

I have been using lightroom for awhile now and loving its workflow and non-destructive editing. Although I used to live n die by the cross processing technique in photoshop and havent been able to replicate it until tonight (I finally sacrificed my pride and googled for a tutorial.. haha). I like the filmy type feel with a square crop.

I hink the shot would work better with more "big boat" I like the overall quality of the image but the crop of the larger boat does not work for me.

agreed. judging by the title you were looking for the contrast. small boat would look a lot smaller if there was more big boat to compare it to.

Thanks for the feedback all. The title was actually added after the shot, to be honest I didnt think as much about the comp as I should have. I was walking back from lunch on the pier to the car then headed to an interview so my mind wasnt 100% clear.

The crop itself was hindered a bit by the prime lens as I couldnt really back up without more foreground showing and obviously couldnt get more wide. But definitely good things to keep in mind for me going forward
