Red Breasted Nuthatch feeding on pine nuts (from pine cones). Unlike my feeder images, this is a compeltely wild bird, out on a point in a small lake, away from people and civilization.

I just learned that the male Black Chinned Hummingbird has a black hood and the female doesn't.
I'd never seen or noticed the male before a couple weeks ago. I see females all the time.
I never even knew what they were called.
I didn't even know there was a Green Jay!
But Cardinals, it's common knowledge.
By the way, a friend gave me some seed so I told her I'd take a picture of one of the seeds if I could find a decent setting for it.

Did you put the hummingbird feeder back out?

Increase your shutter speed, say 400 minimum for a still subject and that'll help with camera shake/motion blur at telephoto distances. Depending on ones own personal hand shake.

The hummingbird, bump that up to 2000, 2500.
