The two on the ground I like (by the way, that bird looks PO'd!), but the 3 of the birds flying I feel you need to leave some more room for the birds to "fly into". Also, I have found that taking pictures of birds in flight (well, in my case, model airplanes in flight!), they look better coming at you than going away from you. I also feel the last 3 need more difference in tonal range (are you using all the tonal range? I feel there is no white); it's probably because the sky seems a bit bland, but not sure... Anyway, it's a good capture; I know how hard it is to get the right focus of something that's flying around!

The 1st two pictures of a black bird in B&W really works. The composition is certainly helped by the expression of the bird. The 3 flying pictures in B&W just don't do anything for me, as I would have preferred to have seen them in color. The 3rd flying picture seems to be some what out of focus. Out of the 3 in flight pictures, picture #1 is my favorite.

#1 and #2 really catch my eye.

#1 is really good.
Great subject for B&W.
