I feel your pain. We had 81 inches of rain in 2018 and Hurricane Michael was not a huge rain producer - far more wind driven.

Do you typically walk around to find your shots or do you have some sort of a blind set up?

No blind...just walk about, then sneak up on. Stealth is the name of the game in shooting wildlife as is a long lens and fast shutter...shooting from a blind is like shooting ducks in a barrel.

I do a mixture of both. There is a small nature preserve near me that is a decent place to walk around and see what's around. Sneaking up on things can be a challenge if there are other people there.

I've been having tons of fun shooting the birdfeeder outside my house. I can sit on the steps outside or inside from an open window. I've even have had success shooting through the closed window when it freezing outside.

I'm afraid that my reach is limited to my 70-200 f/2.8 with a 1.7x tele-converter.
