Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
This is from last weekend with my new Sigma 70-300mm on a Sony a200.
My daughter and one of her teammates from across the gym.

1600 ISO, 1/80, f5.6, No Flash, Untouched.

Any and all input appreciated.

wellll hello there!

the pic seems a bit tilted....and i think you should have used a horizontal orientation with some empty seats to the left.
keep shooting

If you're going to be shooting indoor sports, you may want to look into a sigma f/2.8 zoom for that Sony.

Thanks, and an f2.8 is on my wish list.

The blacks and the shadows look totally blocked (no detail).

Did you convert to the B&W from a color image, or did you set the camera to a monochrome mode?

I agree with Rudha about the horizontal format.

We always look at people's faces and then we look wherever they are looking. So in your photo, we look at their faces and then look left, and right out of the photo.

Please resize your photos before posting. Here is the 'how to post photos' sticky:

And remember that your photo should already be sized down for forum viewing before uploading. The maximum size should be no more than 800 pixels wide, and 600 pixels high, in order for it to fit on most screens without having to scroll.

Again, the photo should already be sized down for forum viewing, no more than 600 pixels high, or 800 wide.

Sorry about the image size, it was more of a trial and error upload.

This was taken in monochrome format. The photo is totally untouched.

From the camera, to the card, to the internet.

Thanks again for all comments.

shoot in color, convert later, levels and contrast.
