I always wonder; who is designing such a staircases ?!
Good work of both, the architect and photographer. It's almost abstract (like from 60-ties ).

Strange you should say that about the 60's. I was going to call it Woman Wearing Headscarf as it looks a bit like the fashion of that period to me.

60-ties were full of geometrical abstract and inner human mind explorations. I believe it was fueled by jump in drugs use. Spirals and other geometrical patterns were suppose to take the viewer into the other, inner world. :roll:

I am looking at this picture now longer and I think it is quite delicate. I always try to see images framed and on the wall and this one, intriguing as it is, will "dissolve" when view from the distance. Or I am wrong ?

The spiral takes you further and further in until you transcend to the inner space. What is left looking out is a blank stare. Often how people in a meditative state appear to an observer.

Whether it would dissolve or not depends, I think, on the display size and the relative distance of the viewer.
