Blue Jay

A couple more from my trip to Whitefish Point. The blue jay spring migration was in full swing, with a good 1,000 jays flying around. It was hard not to take a shot or 100 of them!

These are nice, but some suggestions - for both images you have the subject centered in the frame, which is not the best place for them. For #1, I would have given the image a bit more room on the left so that the subject appears to be looking into the frame from the right. For #2, I would have given the image a bit more space on the right so that there is room for the subject to move into the right side of the frame. I would also increase the Vibrance/Clarity somewhat to make the colours pop a bit more as they look pale to me. You did get a very nice catch light on its eye for this one, which is always a good thing to have.
