Compostion wise, pic 2 is the clear hands down winner. Not that's any new to this thread. Pic 1 just is a little confusing looking at the Blue Jay look directly at you.

Hey Joel I agree about 1, I'm sure it's because you no longer see his beak as you would expect. Something about that kind of shot that I like. But I'm a little weird that way lol

I included the last one because I thought it was neat also. I was set to shoot them roosting so my shutter speed was about 1/200 IIRC. He was just finishing a little shake and I like how the focus fell.

The third one ... I should have left out
