Besides the pose, something else stood out awkward to me. It took me a bit to figure it out, but it has to do with the shadowing and the fist. With the position of the fist (thumb area), wouldn't it be in the shadow of the face and not visible?
I do like the flash work though. I'm looking forward to shots like this, once I upgrade flashes.
