The big brother looking at the edge of the frame doesn't work for me. I'm assuming it was shot this way and not cropped?

Yes I shot it that way ,and that is one of the "rules "I was Talking about . I felt it did work but wanted to hear some thoughts .Thanks for taking the time to respond . My Idea was, Big Brother protecting Lil Brother from an unseen danger . Looking out of the frame to the left I suspected the viewer would naturally come back to the right due to how we in the west tend to view from the left to the right . I see that Lew agrees with you ,But would Love to hear if more agree as well .

Nope, to me, because of all the space on the right, it just looks like the framing is bad.

Thanks Lew, I appreciate your input . I thought the two girls in the BG would Balance out the comp a bit , Oh well that's why I posted the photo ,To see if my thinking was flawed . The original shot the boys are looking at me , but I grabbed this one as well ,for some reason I just like this one .

It's not that I can't see your pov, it just seems to me that the color of the image and the brightness fights really hard against the impression you are trying to give with the framing.
It's sort of discordant in that way and the 'stories' I get from the content and the color and the framing don't fit together.

OTOH, you are working at something and that's a real plus instead of just doing the same old stuff and I have to respect that.
