Nice! They don't allow cameras in the arena at the local one here I suppose they are concerned any errant flash might distract the animals?

From my experiences, it isn't so much the flash (however I have difficulty getting someone to allow strobes, even if mounted up high), it is the liability and the danger. While to many, it may not seem so, it is probably one of the most dangerous things to shoot. Especially the rough stock. I've climbed many fences and have had many man-less horses blow by me within 2-3, at full speed. Quite honestly, I've had many contestants say I'm crazier than they are!

Every year I get one or two that is just "the one".

I told the better half while going through the images from Saturday that I think I have already got "The Shot" of the year.

Pretty cowgirl, horse, the red, white and blue, blue sky.......probably one of my top 3 favorites!
