Burning Bush

Oh man will my wife be envious when she sees this one. She loves these and got a bush about 9 years ago and its doing nothing.

Some suggestions, the focus needs sharpening, the tree is distracting. Also look at the rule of thirds for comp.
this was a great first try. I only mean to help you improve. Ed

Thanks for the tips! That's exactly what I'm here for!

honestly, im not really seeing this as a "rule of thirds" kinda shot.
to make the tree in a "thirds" section, it would have to be a pretty wide shot, and the tree would be a lot smaller in the frame.
for this shot, I like the tree larger in the frame, if not most of the frame.
focus is a little soft though. shame about the tree on the right. is there any way to get a better angle on this shot?

I suppose there is. I took this photo a good ways away from home though, so it will have to be next time! Thanks for the input!

Go easy on the saturation. Moderation is the key; it's easy to overdo it when you want to show off vibrant colors, but overdoing it can actually cause you to lose the point of interest because you lose color context.

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind!
