Burning Cross

Around the year 1600 an Indian found a small sparkling crucifix in the river Guadalajara. He took it home and placed it on a small alter. The next day he awoke to find it had grown to over a meter tall. Some years later the Catholic priests became aware that it was being worshiped by the Indians as a form of black magic so it was ordered by the Diocese to be burned. The Christ figure began to sweat and the Indians collected the sweat in cotton wool and used it to cure their ills. The crucifix was lowered from the flames and is preserved today in the Lord of Miracles Basilica of Buga, Valle de Cauca department, Colombia.

This is a picture of someone else' art work with not much input by the photographer.

And, for no reason, you seemed to have chopped off the ends of the pieces.

I wonder what you are disagreeing with?
It is someone else' creation and you did clip off the ends of the arms.

I disagree with your comment that there was not "much input from the photographer" and I did mot clip off any "arms". You are not very observant. Your comment that the "ends of the pieces" were cropped "for no reason" is incorrect. Of course the crucifix was sculpted by someone other than yours truly. It is a display at a tourist destination. I have also photographed buildings for which I wasn't the architect. You in fact private messaged me a picture of a bunch of paintings that would qualify as "someone else's artwork" unless you painted them yourself. Either way so what? Really don't get the point of your post other than you don't like the crop.

So you cut off the ends of the arms for an artistic reason?
