I like the first one. Good composition, and the tube going diagonal attracts the eye to the guy.

Black and white works well.

B&W works very well with these shots. Nice composition in both. They're both interesting, but #2 is my favorite just because of its simplicity.

Both well taken shots with good processing but for me it's the second....just love the light and shadows playing against each other.

I want to offer some self-critique regarding the second one. I don't know if it's because my lens can't close-focusing, the picture comes out kind of soft, do you also have this impression? Or maybe the exposure wasn't right?
