Nice set, I'm favoring the first and last shots but they are all cool. Macro always makes me happy :)

Nice set! Someone told me recently that not everything in certain close up pics of mine were in focus but how do you get everything in focus when the dof is so shallow with this type of photography? I like #7 best.

Thank you, Kirk. I am using a manual focus lens and I check the diopter adjustment constantly. The way the t7i is laid out causes me to turn it by accident sometimes when picking it up or carrying it. In brightly lit scenes, I find it useful to use my free hand to cup the viewfinder and block out errant sunlight that can obstruct my view also.

I've been reading up a little on macro lenses lately and the articles say with macro you have to manual focus, as you mentioned you did. I didn't mean to imply your pics were out of focus, just saying with a shallow depth of field you can't get everything in focus if you tried. the head may be in focus but a wing out of focus. I'm sure my pics will be the same when I get my macro lens.

Minute movements of the camera, if handheld, will bring various things into focus, so you have to shoot in bursts. Sometimes the best photos are purely accidental and unintentional, lol.
