This is the first time I've tried to capture a bee in flight, C&C please.

For a first attempt it is really good. My first photos were ALL bloopers. (Bee out of focus, bee out of the frame <- i.e. no bee in the photo at all, bee half out of the frame and only its little bottom to be seen) and all that.

You chose to shoot at a very high ISO?
Have you ever tried the noise reduction programmes such as NeatImage?
Or is this a scanned print?

Oh trust me, I had about thirty bloopers before I got this! Plus I was getting eaten alive by mosquitoes, so by the time I got this shot I was quite thankful and quickly retreated into the house. To be perfectly honest, I can't remember what the ISO was set at! And no, I've never tried NeatImage, I'll have to look into it. thanks.

Very nice! I wouldn't even try this, and you did it. Must be kind of difficult trying to focus on something that will eventually be there, but not yet. :thumbsup:
