nice shot tuna, love that forboding sky in the bg...

love this shot

Great composition. I like the way the cloud and shore form a band running diagonally realitive to the horizon. The effect seems to be accentuated by the tree which is leaning in the opposite direction. Niether the tree, clouds or shore by them selves are very slanted but when all the elements come together it produces a nice dynamic effect. Nicely done.

Might look better as a colour photo?

COLOR!?!?!! OF COURSE! Now,...why didn't I think of that!!??

(I'm just teasing you - this was shot on B&W film and you may be right that it might have looked better in color in some ways but what attracted me was the light quality, lines and overall mood I knew B&W would portray best).

scanned negative and photoshopped? i believe i see some poor masking.

also, there is a noticable difference in the grain from the black water to sky, i know film grain vary's in conjunction with how much silver is "clumped" in one spot, but that looks like a photoshop job to me. i would like to see a straight scan of the print if this isn't that.
