C&C - Sky Photo

So I just took this and am having a hard time finding the right exposure and levels when adjusting the sky, any ideas?

Nothing? LOL probably because I shot right into the sun and need the camera on f10....but thanks guys!!!!

You needed to shoot several identical shots using a tripod and varying exposures (primarily overexposing what is shown above) to get some detail in the trees. You could then combine them with HDR software. A shot like that has such a wide dynamic range you'll never find one exposure that will give you everything. If you meter for the trees the sky will be grossly overexposed. If you meter for the sky the trees will be grossly underexposed. One shot just won't get it.
