Nice shot of casual situation, right on the break. It's New Orleans, right ? Look, they can still smoke inside the building. We can't, 17 or 18 years already. How do you like this coffee De Monde ? For me it has way too much chicory added.

This was on the patio, so it is technically outside. It is illegal to smoke in a restaurant in Louisiana. I didn't drink the coffee because it was 90 deg and humid yesterday. I enjoyed a Coke while my daughters had chocolate milk and beignets.

I am sure there are a ton of better places in NO for beignets, just that Cafe Du Monde is such an icon. The beignets were not very good and the wait staff sucks.

While I like the idea, I do think there is a small issue with this.
The closest waiter is in focus. The furthest waiter, at a very powerful spot in the picture, is not.
So the natural thing is to look at the closest waiter and then slide one's gaze down the row, along the gaze of the middle guy to the other end only to find the furthest one OOF

Holy smokes, you shot this at iso 200 and f2.8.
I never, never sit around with my camera at f2.8.
The DOF is tiny at 2.8 and if a shot appears, I may not have time to change anything to get the shot.
F 5.6, iso 800 and whatever else it takes.

I wanted the back left corner out of focus as much as possible. It was out side with a lot going on. I wanted just the three guys as the subject. I did miss the guy on the left a little.
