Can you do Macro Photography with Laowa Probe Lens?

I own this lens now for about one year... but I have almost never really tried macro photography with it:
That's why I have started a huge test series and have built a small flash diffuser to figure out how well this lens is performing in comparison to "normal" macro lens.
What do you think about this lens? Are you using it for macro photography of video only? For macro photography the image quality is pretty poor, for B-Roll/Slider/Tripos footage it is awesome. I just kinda wonder why venus optics is praising it as a great&easy photo lens... which was one of the reasons I have created this review

I considered this lens when it came out a good while back but the more I looked into it the less I liked it. The price is extortionate too for what is really a bit of a turkey of a lens. It's pity because I have their 60mm 2x mag lens and it's really good.
