Great shots, I absolutely love the ones of the cub in the tree.

I've seen a bunch of bears in Jasper/Banff...but they are usually hidden in the bushes and if they are visible from the road, there will soon be a large group of 'tourists' trying to get photos with their P&S cameras.

Were you out in the 'wilderness' to get these?

+1 on the questions and comments from Mike. But also, what lens and focal distance did you use for these shots?

All are lovely shots, but the eyes on the bear cub in the tree really grab your attention. Love the look of its paws too. Well done.

(I'd have been running rather than taking the shots in pics 3-7, if these were taken in the wild)

Thanks for the comments everyone. These images were taken w/a Sigma "Bigma" ie 50-500 mm. Most of these were at around 500 mm so I wasn't actually that close to these bears or I'd be running too. The majority of these bears were near the roadway so no hiking/wilderness involved, just some luck I guess:D.

it seems like the bear in #5 is oof and the focus is on the flowers
