Photos NOT OK to edit
I grabbed this shot of my youngest daughter during a birthday party at the local skating rink. She had just finished some blue cotton candy and a blue slushie. I wish I could see her eyes a little more, but it was a fleeting moment. Your C&C's are welcome.

I would do a portrait crop and get rid of most of the left side of the frame.

Unfortunately, I think that the background is so bright, the right side of her face so blown out and the left side so dark that this will never be more than a memory shot no matter how much editing goes into it.

Shoot. Sorry guys, I thought I had something neat here. The exposure on her face looks pretty good on my monitor, but I am just starting to learn about color calibration and what not. I guess it's back to the drawing board. Thanks for your comments! :D

If this is a raw file, the detail may be there if you can calm the highlights and raise the shadows in raw.

This situation just screamed out for a "tall" camera orientation...but, since that's impossible now, just lop the whole left side off.
