Candidate Action Shot.

Another action shot of my friend who ran for mayor. I call this an action shot because he was talking to voters when I took this picture of him.

Critiques? Comments?

My impression is that there is a colour cast over the picture, the skin tones are a bit strange. Also, the eyes lack that catchlight so welcome in a portrait. As there are no clues in the image as to where the man is and what he is doing, it's difficult to understand why he has such an expression over his face ... if we don't have your words to help us ...

I wouldn't call this an "action" shot. If you need to explain to the viewer what is going on to make it an action shot, you're defeating the purpose. If for example it was a picture of him appearing animate on a dias speaking to a crowd ... i'd give it to you. This is just a headshot.

I agree that the skin tone seems a bit off. As well the shirt seems like it's got a wonky contrast going on as well. The background is also off and looks halo'd.

His skin tones are orange and the eyes are dark and lifeless. There is also no suggestion of him talking.

I also don't like his hairstyle. Never seen a public political figure style it so....college-y
But I guess that couldn't be helped
