canon 70-300 f/4-5.6 IS USM

Hi. Im considering buying this lens used. what do you guys think of it? i did a google search and got mixed reviews. Hes selling it for 475... good deal? or should i pass....thank!

If you can afford it, get the 70-200 f4L. Much better quality.

475 us dollars is too much, I knew a friend selling one for 330 us!

It's a pretty good lens for shooting scenery or maybe wildlife that doesn't move too fast. The max aperture is not very big which makes it hard to get fast shutter speeds. It has IS, which is great but it won't help to freeze the motion of fast moving subjects.
