He's just giving you a heads up how things often work here. In cases like yours, often times the seller has to sell to a well established regular by shipping the lens first and then receiving payment.

I'm sure you can objectively look at what you've posted and understand that nobody is going to trust this deal. You have no rep, have given no information to link your rep to any other site and you're asking somebody to send over a thousand dollars to you in trust. Add to that the fact that you're selling a brand new item for much less than even a heavily used version sells for. And you have to do it quickly. All if these things objectively make your post highly dubious. And you calling more established posters names only makes you seem more shady, not less.

You may well be legitimate, but I think you'll find nobody is going to be willing to take that chance unless you either offer to ship first and the. Take payment or provide some sort of information to indicate trust worthiness. That's just the reality. You can call me names all you want. That's just how it is.

Becoming defensive and calling people a "smart ass" may not help with your sale. The suggestion about taking a picture of the lens with a paper with your username and date on it would really help out.
