True. But you never know. It's worth a try. lol
The Canon 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM will get you a decent lens but depending on the type of nature photography you may start wanting more reach. The 70-200 f4L may not seem like it but the extra clarity in the glass is worth more than the extra 100mm in the 70-300 f4-5.6.
