Canon XTi power and ? lights questions

This camera (S) new to me. Purchased off the Bay as non functioning error "99" camera. On close inspection I noticed that several pins in cf holder were damaged. I repaired and now all appears ok (????) and was wondering if these light issues are correct?

Could use some help with these. Light next to "On" luminates when turned on, and I believe is power on I suspect. When switched on it stays on and does not flicker.. Light next to "CF" logo flickers for a second or two when powering up, then after shooting an image, the CF light stays on while writing to card I believe. Are these normal functioning lights?
