Casio EX-Z40 manual shutter control..?

Hey, I'm new here.

My dad just handed me his z40 because he upgraded to something bigger and better. I've been using a photo slr for quite some time and don't know much about this camera.

Is there any way to adjust the shutter speed manually because I can NOT figure it out!

Unfortunately I think that model really is a "point-&-shoot", with no real control over aperture or shutter speed. Probably the best you could do is use EV compensation to increase or decrease shutter speed.
