Comments and critiques are appreciated. Specifically, how is the water?

Interesting image. I think that I might have been tempted to crop it a bit from the right and a bit down from the top. The large expanse of dark water on the right tends to draw my eye away from the main subject. I think I would crop it about a quarter in from the right and about a third down from the top. My 0.02¢ FWIW.

The water is kind of weird. It looks like you did some darkening on the water.
If it was mine photo I would have taken it differently.

The whole image is just too dark for me, it really makes it unintersting to me.

Totally unreal. And yet it is. Good work. Sure we can discuss the angles and cropping but it's the atmosphere of this shot I like, it's magical.

I don't mind the dark sky but wish the foreground was brighter. Love the atmosphere and setting though and is a really good capture as is. Very nice.

Water's fine. The foreground is weirdly crispy, as if it was more sharpened than the rest of the photo. The title suggests that sky is composited in? With that suggestion in my mind, I have to say that it looks it. The sky seems to have a different feel to it, but of course it's farther away so a less crunchy feel is perhaps ok.

The water does look a little dark as noted, mainly because the sand is lit by... something. And the light seems to just Stop at the water's edge. The light is quite surreal.

I kind of dig the thing as a whole. It has a very science fiction feel.

Love the color of the sky in the left side of the image, however, I do feel like you could crop the right side in a little so there isn't an excessive amount of darkness/emptiness.
