JUST BEAUTIFUL!

Great shot!

Much thanks to everyone - always appreciated! There is a little story behind this image.

I was at a community waterhole (underground spring that surfaces & exits behind a church), when I came out from the collection area and this bird was across the parking lot just sitting there on top of some trumpet flower vines. Facing the sky I had a really fast shutter speed to play with so I started slowly approaching the bird in hopes of capturing it in flight as it flew away. But, he would not take flight and I was not in continuous focus mode. I was using a Sigma 150-600mm lens and I got so close the bird overfilled the viewfinder at 150mm focal length. He eventually flew but I missed the opportunity.
