the first picture is nice, but strikes me as a snapshot. The second is definately a snap shot; the animal in the background is distracting, and your subject is basically centered. Just my 2 cents

D-B-J : I do agree, they are sorta snapshots. The first one I had to rush and take because I wasn't too sure how long he was going to pose for me =)
