What's new

cc photos please

I would use ImageShack for everything less serious. The image quality is not as good as Flickr, but I really find 100MB per month problematic. For more important work, I would use Flickr.

My experience is that the same photo uploaded to Flickr and ImageShack is identical on both sites.

For more important work, break down and get your own website like smugmug or zenfolio.

I also have no problems using Photobucket. I have a Flickr account too, but hate their blog like GUI.

I get what the difference was now. I never prep my photos for any website other than Facebook, so maybe that's why I was having compression issues with photobucket and not with Flikr. I'm way too lazy to add an extra step in my editing for Photobuckets sake lol, I'll stick with Flikr.

Wow, really? You don't find the compression of Photobucket an issue? I did a side by side comparison of Photobucket and Flikr one day after hosting a picture on Photobucket and being really frustrated with how soft it looked, I thought it was ME. Flikr was sharper and clearer by far. I often wonder if people who post their pictures here using Photobucket aren't doing themselves at least a little bit of a disservice when their photos are criticized for being soft or OOF, because I found it to really be THAT big of a difference. Photobucket's compression really bites.

if you want to preserve the best quality and not have to worry about resizing issue I would recommend using deviantart.com. They do not resize anything from its original dimensions.

My surmise was that the people who are purposefully rude to the OP would ignore - or perhaps not be able to read - words in small print.

Back to the OP..... the main thing that jumps out at me is the bad lighting. I would invest in a 430EX or 580EX flash and take advantage of the wireless flash on your 7D. Either that or get a reflector.
