Champ Car World Series - Long Beach 2008

Hey Guys,
A friend of mine is driver in the Champ Car Series (Franck Perera) and this weekend the race was in Long-Beach, California so I stopped by to say hi....

Of course I packed my camera in the bag to get some good photos

Not any more he's not. That was the last Champ Car race....ever.

Yeah, kinda sucks for him!
Was just his 3rd champcar race ever...before Formula1 Test-Driver and Atlantic-Driver...

He finished 6th....started 3rd

But what sucks even more, now that it's Indy, it's not sure if he can keep driving...he needs to find Sponsors for $2 Mio. otherwise some other guy will replace him, even if everyone knows (one of the team-managers told me that) that the other guy might probably just be half as good...

Really sad this kind of policy....

I just hope everything works out...especially with the next race in Indianapolis
