Scorchedchurch.jpg

A Norfolk Round Tower church of Saxon and early Norman origins circa 1100
with the later hexagonal addition to the tower, and new E English porch and even later brick patchwork - the constant battle through the ages to maintain a place of worship. Framed through ancient yet trees possibly dating back to the building of the church.

With changing times now having to be kept locked hiding the memorial to 2nd WW airmen from Downham market

I like the framing of the two trees and interesting story behind the shot

Wonderful! I enjoy your building/landscape pictures very much, as well as the stories that go with them. Hope to see many more of them, now that the weather over there has improved.

Solid shot, I'm glad you shared part of the story with us as well
