Chesapeake, retrieving

Here's a fun one from today. My cousin's dog would not get out of the water. She just stayed in doing laps. She could clear half the pool with a running start.

Taken with a D90 and 70-300 lens. f4.8, 1/400, ISO 400. Looks to me like 1/400 was still a bit slow. I tried manually focusing on the spot where she would be at the apex of her jump (after several practice runs). Seems like the best focus is just in front of her.
