What's with the sudden rash of people posting a new thread and getting pissy because no one comments on it within five seconds? Get over yourself!

1, Just because it's your "hot topic" at the moment doesn't mean anyone else has to care about it.
2, If it pains you so much that you're going to leave TPF because of it, don't announce it, just go.


Lastly, stop thinking the world revolves around you. Maybe google stuff yourself once and see how it works instead of thinking everyone else should do it for you. Or better yet, take your pasty butt outside and live life a little.

I say, after you post a pic for c&c, take 10 minutes to give c&c to others. If everyone did that there would be plenty of feedback.

It's all a part of the fast-food, microwave, instant society we live in. When we order up a new thread, we want our responses faster than we can get our fries at McD's. We don't CARE what others might be doing instead, because after all...it's not about THEM, it's about ME!! It's ALL about ME!!!! :lmao:

I say, after you post a pic for c&c, take 10 minutes to give c&c to others. If everyone did that there would be plenty of feedback.

Not everyone is comfortable, or capable of giving pertinent C&C. Giving C&C is a good way to learn actually... but only if you think about the image you are C&C'ing, look for what is wrong / right... do a little research if you don't know. Just saying it "needs rule of thirds" or the color is off" doesn't mean crap if you can't say why, and make a suggestion as to how to improve it...

Well I give plenty of "I like it, it is interesting, it has cool colors" I also give " I think its boring, I think it needs a different crop, I think it is out of focus, I think the white balance is off". Even though it might not be a technical as some of the other c&c, people still say thank you, and I think they would prefer that over nothing at all.

Plus if I post a picture, ( keep this in the ol memory bank any one reading this ) I dont care if it is your first day being able to see out of your eyes, if you like something about my pic, say so. If you dont like something, then say what you dont like, even if you dont know how I can improve it. I can still take what you dont like and I have something to go off. I'm NOT a "10 minutes and I dont have 5 people that have given me feedback yet" kinda guy. However I do scratch my head when sometimes I have 400 plus thread views and 1 comment. Although I guess if they dont comment about if the picture is good or bad, then they might look at it and go..."meh" and move on with their life.

Not meaning to pick on anyone, Parker... not trying to say you shouldn't do that! That is fine, if that is all you are comfortable with! But maybe in the future, dig a little deeper! See what you come up with. How is the WB off? Was it focus, movement or DOF on that OOF shot? Do the crop and post it (if they allow editing), see if it actually works! That is what I wish more people would do! lol

My comment was aimed more at those that throw around photography terms / guidelines without seeming to have a clue what they really mean!

I think in our profile right under "Are photos okay to edit" it should have "Is 2 word c&c allowed"?!?! I would put YES but I know others would put NO.
