Great capture Dave - I don't know about these guys where you are but around here they extremely hard to capture because they move around so fast.

You are soooo right! They are either running so fast their feet don't touch the ground or they are dead still...for about 1/2 second.

But they can be predictable. During the summer we were watching one fill his cheeks under my birdfeeder and take the same path to my neighbor's yard (and beyond!) over and over. Only after the fact did I realize I could have laid in wait in the grass and got some fun, running shots.
