Hi,

Cirrus is a Trance soundtrack composed by my friend, the video for which is composed by me. The video is a compilation of time lapse snippets, a type of still photography where multiple frames are shot individually and then stacked at various frame rates. Note that it's composed of images only. 27,000 in all. Hope you'll like it :)

Your technique was first done experimentally 132 years ago (1878) by the English photographer Eadweard Muybridge.

This technology required a person look into a viewing machine to see pictures which were separate paper prints attached to a drum turned by a handcrank.
The pictures were shown at a variable speed of about 5 to 10 pictures per second, depending on how rapidly the crank was turned.
Commercial versions of these machines were coin operated.
