So, I'd like to try a hand at photography. Does anyone have any suggestions on books/websites/classes. I no photography background, and find myself lost in the vocabulary alone, though I appreciate the beauty of a captured moment in time.
I'm interested in taking pictures of my family, kids, and events. Maybe even one day making a little side money from this hobby.
I'll be shopping over the next few weeks to upgrade from my point and shoot to a DSLR.
Thanks!

Just pick up Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson. You do not need anything else.

You might want to add "Learning To See Creatively" also by Bryan Peterson.
