College?

I have been looking for a school to go back to so I can study photography and I was wondering where people have been and what their learning experience was like there? I was looking into The Art Institute, but their total tuition is 87,000 and that is out of my price range. I am wanting to open my own studio one day and so I was wondering;
Any suggestions?

i take it your only 16 - 18 ?

You have plenty of time tbh, im 16 and when i went to college this year the Tutors said i was the youngest person joining

But 87'000 dollars, that a bit much
i got into college for free (scotland btw)
i start in august so cant tell you of experience

see if you can take night classes somewhere. you don't necessarily need a degree. before i went to college i took a few photo courses at bostons art institute - theyre cheap and i learned a ton

I went to School of Visual Arts in NYC. I graduated in 1990. Not sure what it is like now. Hopefully not much has changed.

It was a great time. The profs were amazing as well as the classes. Highly recommended.

haha that would be great!! I just think I am a bit to old...

I am 20 and have been looking for a college for about the past 6 months. A long time I know, but I haven't been able to find a whole lot of information on different schools without traveling to them. (most of them tell you 'well you can find out alot more when you come tour the campus'...) I would have started when I was first out of highschool, but my father had a lot of medical problems and was in the hospital, it was better to be with the family then.

Thanks for letting me know about the colleges so far. I will def take a look at them.
