What's new

Comments?.

6102 would have been much better if it would have been straight instead of off angled. 8022 would have been better up off the ground more to be level with the object you were trying to photograph (tomato)

To many.

I recommend you keep it one per post.

The top 2 are good examples of raccoon eyes, or dark eye sockets, from having a light source that is to high, and/or not using fill lighting (reflected or strobed).

I would do an edit to illustrate, but you don't allow that.

The first two are VERY dark. The second one is WAY too dark. The first needs some light in the eyes. I love the capture on the second one. It has real feeling and I think that the weeds or whatever that in front of the camera actually add to the image. It kind of says it's a glimpse into this moment from a totally unobserved standpoint. Much feeling.

3 is well exposed, well focused with great color. It's very pretty. It's also one of those photos that everyone has in their hard drive somewhere. I do wish you hadn't cropped so close on the left. The weed in the foreground is a distraction in this case. Very nice.

4 doesn't speak to ME, but it's a technically good shot. It does look like the focus was slightly off. On the stone JUST behind the tomato.

5.Just doesn't do anything for me. The angle, the power line, the lack of real definition in the sky, the city... It's all a kind of "OK, what?" photo for me.
6 needs straightening. I like it! It gives a feeling for the complexity of the game. Whatever the bit of light in the top of the background is takes from your image. I'd take that out so that the background is total black.

@photoguy - I have some others where it is straight, or leveled at least. and thanks.
@KmH - The top two were slightly edited. And you can do an edit.
@MLeeK - ^ They're edited, dark was kinda what i was going for. But I agree it's too dark. I have more photos of the fourth one somewhere...
On the sixth I know the top is slightly distracted, I'll get rid of that.
Thanks!
