Contax 645

I have a contax 645 and my negatives are coming out weird. It only showes the top half of the negative. What could this be caused by?

It might be a problem with the mirror that only flips up halfway.

That was my first thought, something obstructing the mirror's upward swing. Try firing the shutter without a lens and see if anything looks like it might have come loose and is blocking the mirror's path. Might be something you can do, but if in doubt, repair shop.

could it be the pressure plate on the back?
